In September 2006, the French newspaper L'Est Republicain quoted a report from the French secret service stating that bin Laden had succumbed to typhoid in Pakistan. Apparently, the disease paralyzed his lower limbs.

The report was dumped later when a video, allegedly from the dreaded terrorist, who masterminded the September 11 bombings in New York, surfaced.

Only time can tell whether Osama is indeed on his death bed.
